Reva the Scapegoat

What the best way to stop criticism? Clam that all the negativity is because of racist homophobes who are review bombing the product for biased reasons. Which leads to my conspiracy theory, that Disney only casted Moses Ingram as Reva in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show as an excuse for the criticism of bad writing. Think I’m crazy? Let’s take a look at Reva’s character and you tell me if this makes sense.

Reva was a youngling Jedi who survived the Order 66 attack. She was stabbed through the chest by Darth Vader and left for dead. Reva went on a vengeful quest to join The Inquisitors, who are an extension of the Sith, move her way up the ranks through terrorism, hunt down Jedi, kill innocents, all so she can be next to Darth Vader to try to kill him. You can argue that she did those things to complete her mission for revenge, but let’s take a look at a movie that did a similar thing.

Traitor, was a movie about a US specials forces agent who infiltrated a terrorist organization to stop it from the inside. The agent, Samir, helped the group plan multiple attacks. In one scene, Samir had to blow up a construction site. Samir waited until the site was empty and placed the bomb in a certain part of the building away from everyone else. Sadly, someone was killed in the bombing and Samir was racked with guilt.

Reva, felt nothing the entire show. Even if her ultimate plan was to kill Vader, she seemed to enjoy the deeds she did. There was no scene of her crying in a corner after doing something. No scene of her masquerading some evil deed and being found out by her fellow Inquisitors. Just an evil woman doing evil things.

Reva was a horrible written character, with bad motivations and executed poorly. The Obi-Wan show was a horribly written and executed poorly, yet now they can use Ingram to stop any sort of criticism. I’ve even read reports that Ingram was talked to about race related comments that she will be receiving when the show aired and Ewen McGregor even spared 50 seconds of his life, while driving, to address that people have sent her racist messages. I don’t doubt that Ingram hasn’t gotten any race related negative comments, but it feels like Disney and McGregor are committed to believe that ALL negative reviews of this show are based in racial biasness and not on the merits of bad writing. Disney is reported to want to use Reva in future Star Wars adaptations, but there are no details on that yet.

Was Moses Ingram casted in a role solely to ward off criticism?

The Last of Us Season 2: Big Brain Move

HBO has done it again. First, they hired Bella Ramsey to ward off negative criticism and now the second season won’t be the whole second game. Somehow the company that gave us Velma, apparently can read their audience all of a sudden and know people are tuning in for Pedro Pascal and when his character dies, the numbers with Ramsey in the lead will start to drop. Also, the Last of Us Part 2 was F-ing terrible!

There’s a reason why a third game wasn’t made. Ellie wasn’t fun without Joel. The ending was dumb. Ellie went on a rampage of revenge on Abby because of Joel’s death and didn’t kill Abby in the end? She let her go. Ellie killed tons of Abby’s coworkers just to leave her in the end before she can land the killing blow.

I imagine season 2 will take a lot more creative liberties and spend most of the time on Abby’s story. She was interesting. I do love stories where I get to see the villain’s point of view and maybe try to understand their reasons for their actions. Realistically, HBO needs to put a time table on this and not go the Game of Thrones path of too many seasons.

Big Mouth:Creepy Demographic

There is push in America to expose children to more sexual topics in schools and in entertainment. Balenciaga landed in hot water with some sexual pictures of children holding up bondage gear, we’re seeing a massive number of books being taken off a Elementary School Library shelves with sexual content in them and now grown men are fighting for thr right to dance provocatively in front of children

Remember the movie Cuties on Netflix? The one where “reportedly” dozens of little girls were auditioned and they all had to twerk before the casting director “allegedly”? Yea, that happened. Now, lets talk about a show on Netflix called Big Mouth.

Big Mouth is an “adult animation” show about children growing up and becoming more sexually active. The main characters have Hormone Monsters who show them how to masturbate and they discuss their sexual urges in great detail. There’s a lot a lot of cartoon nudity…of children. Who is this show for?

Is it possible that Big Mouth is a show hiding behind the category of “adult animation” and made for an audience of people who want to see sexualized children and child pornography?

John Cena vs. Austin Theory for the United States Championship

There have been many rumors that John Cena will win this match and on Monday Night Raw and bring back his Open Challenge to reveal either Bron Breakker or rumored Jay White’s appearance on the Main Roster. I hate that idea and don’t think Austin Theory should lose this match.

Austin Theory in an anomaly of success on the Main roster. His first match on NXT was a loss against Tomasa Ciampa, then was stuck as Johnny Gargano’s lackey, mostly a mocked character on the Main Roster because he was seen as “Vince’s Boy”, lost his Money in the Bank briefcase cashing in on a mid-card title.

This match needs to be a clean win for Theory. Cena doesn’t need to be in the WWE anymore. He takes away too much of the spotlight from full time wrestlers. I would’ve rather seen Montez Ford vs Theory for the United States Championship than Cena.

Winner: Austin Theory

Marvel Strike Force: Spider-Man (Miles)

I need some help from the great Mike Singeltary for this one

“Can not play with him. Can not win with him. Can not coach him. Can’t do it”

I have exhausted all my options with Miles Morales. I have upgraded him; I have surrounded him with a great group and every time he disappoints me. Clearly, I am doing something wrong with him and I don’t know what.

Miles checks off most of my boxes. He gains Stealth, has an unlockable attack all enemies move, great team ups, there is nothing wrong with his game, its just he doesn’t fit in the teams that I assemble. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend him, but maybe you might have some ideas of what I’m doing wrong.

Jay White’s Future

Jay White is reportedly torn between the WWE and AEW as his next destination. There are pros and cons to each company, so I wanted to go over each.

I wrote that line and spend the next 10 minutes trying to think of a single positive of White going to AEW. The way AEW is operating now, with their lack of storytelling and a not split-up roster on the Tony Khan’s 6 shows, White will be lost in the shuffle very quickly. The WWE is the best and only option for him.

White will be a game changer in the WWE, much like AJ Styles was when he entered in 2016. Styles had one of the greatest years in the WWE in 2016, having feuds with the top talents in the company before winning the WWE Championship.

White has a ton of dream opponents and feuds in the WWE. Austin Theory, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes, Edge, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Matt Riddle, Karrion Kross, Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, and that’s just the main roster. On NXT, he has Carmelo Hayes, Greyson Waller, Bron Breakker, Dominik Dijakovic, JD McDonagh, and more to go up against.

Triple H did tease the Raw after WrestleMania being a huge reveal. Could White be that reveal?

Marvel Studios Is Screwed: Jonathan Majors Situation

This might be a worst-case scenario situation for Marvel. Jonathan Majors is now tied to an alleged assault of a woman. Obviously, more details will come out soon and since I wasn’t there, I can’t comment on how true or not true this is, but Marvel is in a bad situation either way. There are many social issues at play right now and Marvel has been kowtowing to the Woke mob, which resulted in a massive loss of revenue and this situation could potentially cripple them in the public eye.

The Disney World Parks are filled with “Celebrate HerStory” because we are in Women’s History Month. Disney got rid of Johnny Depp over allegations that were proven to be false and did it under the umbrella of the “Me Too” movement and showing how much they believe women when they tell tales of abuse.

Now let’s talk race for a moment. Very quickly, I want to talk about Ja Morant, an NBA player who was under investigation for playing with a gun while drunk in a night club. Morant has bee suspended a couple of games by his team and has attended a theory session to discuss this. The comments I’ve seen with this story are:

If he was white this wouldn’t have happened

Y’all are just trying to take a young black man down

White people celebrating too much

Of course, this isn’t every comment in the world, but there is an alarming amount of comments race based on that situation and there will be even more with the Majors one. Marvel has gone all in on hiring black actors and race changing many white characters to kowtow to the Woke mob on representation. Marvel and Disney have gone out of their way to scold fans who dislike the changes and expressed their desire for diversity.

Majors is in a very simple situation. Either he assaulted the woman or he didn’t and Majors is just a victim of someone wanting a pay day or to ruin his reputation. More details on this case will come out very soon, but it doesn’t sound good in my opinion, since he was arrested on the spot and it was in an apartment, where there might not be any witnesses.

What does Marvel do about this? You can’t appease to both sides of the Woke mob and come out on top. There is still a large number of people who support Amber Heard, citing a patriarchal law system that protects men and demonizes women who speak up. If Majors is found innocent, they’ll say he paid the woman off.

I imagine the race card will be thrown around a lot if he is fired. Citing is he was white this would’ve been swept under the rug like many other Hollywood actors who have been accused on much worse.

Marvel should be preparing a statement which I imagine will sound a little like this, “We are aware of the incident surrounding Jonathan Majors and decline to comment until the facts come to light” anything else will be shooting themselves in the foot. I don’t know how this situation will turn out, but all I can say is that its going to expose Marvel in ways they didn’t expect.

Doctor Strange: Marvel Strike Force

Doctor Strange

Take him out immediately. Strange starts off with Winds of Watoomb which applies two negative effects to the primary target and flips all positive effects of every enemy to a negative one. Which means whatever positive perks you start off with are going to be removed and you lose your starting advantage in the very first turn.

Strange isn’t the most durable on my roster, so whenever I bring him I usually have someone like Luke Cage or Juggernaut on the opposite side of the field using Taunt to take the pressure off of Strange. Strange also has the Book of the Vishanti which brings back a fallen teammate  and heal everyone on your side depending on how far you’ve upgraded it. Strange, when given the right protection, is one of the most effect characters in the game.

X-Men: Ends Justify the Means

In superhero projects, the hero helps out the world or the community because they feel like since they have the power to help out, that it’s their responsibility to do so. Even though it might be dangerous path to go down, if the hero has the ability to save humanity while tip toing the line of morals, they should do that.

This segways me to my views on X-Men Days of Future Past. First of all, it was an incredible movie, one of my favorite superhero movies of all time, however, I do see one change that could’ve solved the problems of the movie within the first few minutes of it.

The movie takes place in the future where a group of robots called Sentinels are programmed with one purpose, eliminate all mutants. After they completed their mission, they started targeting humans that might contain the mutant gene, and then that snowballed into a total imprisonment of humanity.

The surviving mutants have been running from the Sentinels, and every time they are caught by them, Kitty Pride sends back a mutant’s consciousness into the past a week or so to warn the mutants of the coming attack so they can keep on running.

The surviving mutants come up with the plan to send Logan’s consciousness decades into the past to stop the creation of the Sentinels, thus saving the future from them.  Logans awakens in the past and searches for a young Charles Xavier to explain why he’s here and they assemble a team to go save the future.

Now to my moral dilemma. Wouldn’t it have been a better idea to send Logan to maybe back in time to the first or second movie instead? In the past, the young Xavier refused to use his powers and was a drunken hermit for Logan to fix. In the first or second movies, Xavier’s powers are at their peak and he could’ve used the machine Cerebro to connect to the minds of every person in the Sentinel program and stopped it from happening.

Yes, Xavier entering the minds of potentially hundreds of people and influencing their decisions is crossing the line, but do the ends justify the means? If you have the ability to save all of humanity by compromising your morals for a moment, is that worth it?

What do you think?

There’s The Door: The Sale of the WWE

It has been rumored that the WWE is up for sale and the buyers might be from Saudi Arabia. Without getting too political, because I don’t know enough about the whole situation, a lot of fans and some wrestlers have come out to oppose the sale to the Saudi Arabia purchaser. Some wrestlers have even said that they will leave the company if the deal goes through. My answer to that is….goodbye.

I’m in favor of the Saudi purchasers. Why? Because they have unlimited money. From what I’ve read, on the internet so take that with a grain of salt, Saudi Arabia is making almost a billion dollars a day in oil. Imagine running a wrestling company with unlimited funds?

Imagine a Pay Per View where the card features Roman Reigns, Okada, Seth Rollins, Jay White, Kenny Omega, Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Jon Moxley, Bobby Lashley, Cody Rhodes and Bryan Danielson, just to name a few. Great storylines? Hire the best writers in the world to write compelling long-term storytelling.

One of the arguments against it is sponsorship and apparently companies wouldn’t want to be linked to the company because Saudi Arabia is in control of it. You’re telling me that NO COMPANY would want to partner up with the biggest wrestling company in the world? That if they didn’t start their own streaming network that every wrestling fan wouldn’t want to subscribe to it? That YouTube and Rumble wouldn’t allow it to be streamed on their sites?

Now the Woman’s Division might be a touchy subject, but in recent years, women have been able to wrestle in the Saudi Arabian shows at Crown Jewel. Strides are being made for more inclusion of the Woman’s Division.

The deal seems great for the wrestlers, the company and more importantly the fans. The WWE wanted to expand the reach of NXT to other parts of the world and with the Saudi Arabi backing they can do that easily.

In conclusion, unlimited money, unlimited reach, best wrestlers in the world and still keep the woman’s division, so what’s the problem here? I saw, again on the internet, that Sami Zayn has some religion reasons of why he wasn’t able to attend the recent Crown Jewel event. But can’t we use this purchase as a way to connect more than divide? That maybe we can work out our differences, biases and move past it to a more productive and fulfilling future?
