Captain Marvel : Marvel Strike Force

Level 75 G14 all abilities maxed 7 Red Star Captain Marvel : r/ MarvelStrikeForce

The best part of using Captain Marvel is her Speed is usually the highest in most battles I play and her most powerful movie Binary is charged and ready to go in turn 1. I can easily take a huge chunk out of whichever enemy I want in the first turn and it has a shock wave that hurts all enemies.

In this Binary you’re super charged for 1 more move. I always follow up with Warbird, her second move, which using after Binary gives me one more shockwave after the move connects.  You can farm Captain Marvel shard in Heroes Chapter 6-9. She’s someone I always have on my main team mainly because the Speed and that Binary attack. There’s not many characters in this game that have their strongest move as the first move in the match.

Drax : Marvel Strike Force

Marvel Strike Force Trailer: Drax Should Always Go First

Drax gains Taunt on Summon which could be a good thing or, in my case, a really bad thing. Drax is usually the first to be killed in my party. Taunt at the beginning I feel isn’t a good idea since you’re facing a full team. The Guardians of the Galaxy I feel really aren’t that impressive to use so no reason to put a lot of devotion into Drax. His attacks are ok and that’s it. Not a lot of unique things about Drax to keep him around.

I Called It

Marvel Phase 4 is off to a terrible start. The movies and shows are just remaking the old favorites.

My Friend Pedro

My Friend Pedro on Steam

Sometimes a really ridiculous idea works out perfectly. My Friend Pedro is a run and gun side scrolling shooter were the main character is taking directions from a sentient floating bandanna. Sounds really dumb and they could’ve literally just had a help icon come up and tell you what to do, but they chose a banana for some reason.

Besides that ridiculousness, this game is fantastic. There is a wide variety or weapons, you can ride on skateboards and throw them at your enemies, there’s melee, slow motion, toss a frying pan and ricochet the bullets around.

My Friend Pedro Review

SPOILER

The plot is pretty interesting. You’re an unnamed protagonist whose family is involved in criminal activity, but you can’t bring yourself to stop them, so you knock yourself out, erasing your memory and Pedro directs you to kill them all. When this is revealed, you then have to fight Pedro himself and after you kill him its revealed that you are Pedro and the banana was just a figment of your imagination.

Weird, but different and a hell of a lot of fun. I would totally recommend My Friend Pedro to everyone. I give it a 10/10. It has everything you’d want in a game, I had nothing to complain about and most importantly it had replay value.

Marvel Strike Force

Which Wave I Avengers Team do I create in Marvel Strike Force? - Pro Game Guides

Probably one of the most overused types of mobile games, but still an extremely fun game for Marvel Fans. Strike Force has you assemble your team of 5 Marvel heroes and villain to take on enemies in turn-based battle.

The Campaign isn’t really important to me. This is a farming type of game, so the story isn’t that impactful to me. There are (right now) 7 different campaigns you have to get your team through. Very challenging and most important necessary to get all the gear and shards you need to make the strongest team possible.

To unlock new characters, you have to acquire their shards. Some characters like Jean Grey are 510 shards while simpler characters like Hydra Grenadier are only 15 shards. You can find shards through boss battles, Events, loot boxes or with special giveaways for signing in continuously.

You start the game with a certain amount of Energy, which depletes as you do battles, but can gain more by simply waiting for it to replenish or use your Power Cores, which you get through doing tasks.

Marvel Strike Force: Top 5 characters to farm for raids

To make your characters stronger you need to spend Gold and XP, but to upgrade their Gear you need to find Item shards. Certain battles and bosses randomly give you the chance to get what you need to make your characters stronger.

Each character has 2-3 moves and some characters have an extra ability to unlock. Again, through battles you gain the Ability Materials that you can use to level up those skills.

The game does a great job to make you want to level up all your characters by having Daily Challenges. Each character has specific Classes they are put into. Hand Blademaster is part of the Villain, City, Skill, Brawler, Hand and Minion classes. Thor is under the Hero, Cosmic, Mystic, Blaster, Asgardian and Wave 1 Avenger class. Some days there will be special events that need you to use only Blaster types, which make you want you have upgraded Blaster types to take on your enemies.

The Brotherhood of Mutants arrive in Marvel Strike Force

There are Daily Objectives you can chose to do, but if you do them you get a massive number of materials for your team. Other game modes are Blitz battles where you gain Blitz points so you can open up loot boxes or buy the materials or shards you want. Arena battles, Alliance Battles, the list goes on and on for things to do in this game.

The roster is ever expanding with new Marvel movies and shows coming out. The character Shang-Chi came out to coincide with the movie in theaters. With the Eternals movie soon to come out I imagine all the Eternals will be playable characters.

Game UX: analyzing the experience of two major mobile games | by Ahmed Ayoub | UX Collective

Marvel Strike Force is a free to play game that gives you a lot to do and always makes things interesting. I give it a 10/10. There isn’t much I would add to this game. The creators give you a ton of things to do, a massive roster, reasons to play every day, visually beautiful and lets you have your favorite Marvel characters fight together.

Battle of the Game Passes

PS Now vs. Xbox Game Pass | Which service deserves your $9.99 - GameRevolution

I don’t think I’ll have to pay for another videogame again because I have the Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now. Both services offer a ton of videogames at a reasonable subscription price, but which one is the better buy? I broke this argument into 7 categories to make it easier.

Price

Both services are $10 a month, but the Xbox one comes with the EA Game Pass. It’s not the super-premium one, but still gives you the Mass Effect series, Crysis series, Maddens, a lot of Star Wars and also a ton of other great games. PlayStation Now doesn’t come with anything else.

Point Xbox

Compatibility

The best part of these services is that I can play them on my computer. I have an Xbox One, but I do not PlayStation and haven’t had one since the PS2. It makes a lot more sense to just spend your money on an updated gaming computer, rather than fight off Black Friday shoppers for the last console in the mall.

Point Both

Controllers

The Xbox Game Pass can be played with an Xbox or PlayStation controller. However, certain PlayStation games require a newer PlayStation controller. Until Dawn at times require you to hold the controller steady during certain moments. But annoyingly enough I needed to buy a controller to play The Avengers game. For some reason needed this newer controller with the pressable top button. I wasn’t able to go into the skill tree without it. So, I had to buy a $25 dollar controller to play all the games.

Point Xbox

DLC

Xbox you can buy the DLC for the games on the app, but PlayStation comes up with an error message. I’ve tried this with multiple games and the same message comes up. I don’t know if it’s a console exclusive thing, but either way it’s something PlayStation needs to fix.

Point Xbox

Storage

Xbox you have to download the games on to your hard drive, but PlayStation streams the games directly to my computer. Sometimes that adds to the load times, but it does beat having to delete games for space and spend hours waiting for them to download.

Point PlayStation

Games

This is a toss-up. I love them both. PlayStation you get series like God of War, Rachet and Clank, Infamous series, The Last of Us, The Witcher and others. The only hang-up is that my favorite series Jak and Daxter isn’t on it and Rachet and Clank is incomplete, but I imagine one day they will be on there. They even have most of the Resident Evil series and ALL the Lego games on it.

With Xbox you get all the Gears of War, Halo, Yakuza series and having the EA games also adds a lot more games to play. They also have some Game Pass Exclusives. I’ve been waiting for Crackdown 3 for years and it was finally released on the Game Pass. Xbox doesn’t have as many iconic series as PlayStation, but still a lot of games.

Also, a ton of Indie Developers are there too. It’s good to see companies that aren’t Triple A companies have a chance to get their games out there and build their audiences.

Point Both

Presentation

The Xbox Game Pass seems like a more complete product. Xbox has an Upcoming games section with the arrival dates and a Leaving Soon section where you can play the games included for the last time. It has some cool pined sections like Zombie Month and others, just to keeping things fresh and showcasing some games that might get lost among others. Xbox gives you release dates on games months away. It even has a Surprise Me button which gives you a random game to play. While PlayStation doesn’t.

PlayStation just has a What’s Hot and New Arrivals tabs. It’s not really a pretty looking layout. All the games are lumped together by a few sections and alphabetically. It doesn’t give you any upcoming games to get excited about. Xbox even has trailers and screenshots of the games you click on. PlayStation just has a simple written description and that’s it.

Point Xbox

Winner

I have to give it to the Xbox Game Pass. It feels like a more complete product with a plan. Having the added Triple A games from the EA games is a nice touch. I have to buy less things to play Xbox games and yea the storage is a problem but it isn’t the biggest problem in the end. Overall, I love both services and will be keeping both of them, but if there is a clear winner, even if it’s by a sliver, it’s the Xbox Game Pass.

WWE 2K22

Surprising WWE 2K22 Release Date Announced Plus New Info

I’m hearing bad rumors about the new WWE 2K22. Since the failure of 2K20 and Battlegrounds, the decision has been made to reinvent the wheel and model their game after No Mercy which was released in 2000 for the N64.

Sports games are some of the easiest games to shoot out. Fans are just paying for an updated roster, new moves, and graphics. We aren’t asking the gaming companies to do anything too drastic. I know I can’t speak for all wrestling game fans, but I don’t need much to make me happy. The best addition to the games is the community creations.

AEW Video Game To Be Better Than WWE 2K Series?

The WWE should embrace AEW as a marketable tool. I still play 2K19 all the time, my created wrestler slots are completely filled with AEW, Impact and NJPW wrestlers from the community creations. The WWE should make it even easier to bring wrestlers from other promotions into this game. Give us all their moves, give us the ability make their gear, give us a ton of slots to build a massive roster. How is this bad for the WWE? Honestly, if their game is better than AEW’s and has the ability to bring in all their wrestlers, then why wouldn’t fans buy this game over theirs?

The WWE’s problem since AEW’s creation has been competition, but making your enemy an asset without having to lose anything is a win.

What do you think?

Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes is a star-studded, time-loop mystery that's let down by frustrating repetition | British GQ

This game feels like a Netflix Original Movie. It has a great cast, really unique concept, a very interesting beginning and middle, and then unravels very quickly into an extremely pointless and confusing ending and you regret every watching it in the first place.

You play as The Husband coming home to your wife telling you the great news that you’re going to be a father. The moment is then cut short by a police officer at the door who accuses your wife of murdering her father, zip ties her hands behind her back and then brutally kills you.

Why Hitchcock-taut video game 'Twelve Minutes' spurs debate - Los Angeles Times

Then, it cuts back twelve minutes when you entered the apartment originally. Your wife in the same place she was twelve minutes ago and the police officer making his way to your apartment. What you have to do now is go on an annoying series of mini quests to unravel what and why this is happening. The big issue is that even if you know EXACTLY what to do, you still have to die or repeat the game over and over to do it. Most of the time, you are given a series of dialogue options and actions. Preforming the wrong one will end up shooting you to the beginning or you’ll have to simply kill yourself to trigger that. There really is no getting better at the game. even to get the simplest ending, you would have to die 4 or 5 times just to get the series of events down right.

You have to talk to your wife a few times to know what you have to say. You have to kill the police officer a few times to grab his phone to talk to his daughter to get her to convince him to listen to you.  There is no grind to this game. it’s just tedious and annoying. And worst of all, when you spent all that time dying and plotting your choices and listening to all the dialogue options and dying and dying and dying, the ending is that you’re fucking you sister?

Annapurna's Twelve Minutes release date set for Aug. 19 - Polygon

That’s the ending. Your wife is secretly your sister and you killed your father because you love her and some other dumb stuff. And that’s it. What an absolute disaster of an ending. What an incredible waste of time for a game that started off so strong. Did you really need 3 Hollywood stars for this game? Awful game! Don’t download it!
