Jeff Cobb

Jeff Cobb Defends WWE Raw Underground; Says He Signed A Deal With Unnamed Promotion

I find it weird that guys like Jay Lethal, Tony Nese and Bobby Fish all come to AEW with TNT Championship matches and contracts and Jeff Cobb didn’t. Cobb was brought in by Christ Jericho to fight Jon Moxley for 1 match and that was it. The match was ok, I felt like it ended in a botch, but Cobb did look really good. It was my first-time seeing Cobb in the ring and after that match I thought that he would be a member of the inner Circle and have an AEW contract, neither happened.

Especially at that point in AEW’s creation, they could’ve used a guy like Cobb on the roster. This was before Lance Archer, Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs and Brodie Lee were hired so they were in need of a guy like Cobb.

If they would’ve kept Jeff Cobb in AEW who would’ve liked to see him feud with and if he was part of a faction where would you put him?

Marcel Bartel/ Fabian Aichner

The NXT Recap (10/16/19) - Last Word on Pro Wrestling

Without Walter these two men wouldn’t really exist in wrestling. That’s why factions are extremely important. If I was to say Fabian Aichner is going to be a singles star you wouldn’t care. When he was on NXT, he wasn’t doing anything special. So, lets team him with Marcel Bartel. Not a bad partner at all, but isn’t anything to stay up late to see. Now team these two men up with Walter. Someone who can be the face of any company in the world.

Now Bartel and Aichner are going to get a lot more screentime and being around Walter elevates them. Now give the Alexander Wolfe just to grab some extra attention and now you have a faction. Not saying Bartel and Aichner can’t wrestle, it’s just they aren’t unique enough to be pushed to a higher level on their own.

So where do you see Bartel and Aichner going in the future and do they have a chance to be singles stars?

No More Ned

Spider-Man: No Way Home Gives Ned a Power | CBR

It has been reported that Peter Parker’s best friend Ned isn’t returning for the new trilogy of Spider-Man movies. The move isn’t too ridiculous because at the end of No Way Home, everybody forgot who Peter Parker is. So, unless Ned was supposed to return as the villain, which many suspected he would, then there would be no reason to have him back.

I actually would’ve liked the idea of Ned becoming the Hob Goblin or something in that capacity. I also thought that Ned might have some adventures with Doctor Strange since he was able to open up portals and ended up wearing the cape for a moment.

So what do you guys think about Ned not returning?

AEW Cant Have Long Title Runs

AEW World Championship - Wikipedia

Let me name just a few names that have AEW Champion Potential

Hangman Adam Page

Adam Cole

Andrade El Idol

Brian Cage

Bryan Danielson

Chris Jericho

CM Punk

Cody Rhodes

Darby Allin

Jon Moxley

Jungle Boy

Kenny Omega

Lance Archer

Malakai Black

Miro

MJF

Nick Comoroto

Pac

Pentagon Jr

Sammy Guevara

Wardlow

And that’s right now. Imagine how bigger the roster will be in a few months. Clearly AEW can’t have someone hold on to the title for record runs. At this point there might not be enough main events or PPVs to go around. They might even need to give Rampage their own titles.

AEW really needs to expand and fast. Because a lot of talent is being pushed aside as of late for big name signings. Brian Cage debuted and instantly earned a title shot. Imagine how the 8 other guys in match might’ve felt.

When Ruby Soho debuted, she immediately earned a title shot. Do you expect AEW not to sign Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole? Do you think they won’t sign Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman when they are available?

Not to mention the ton of NJPW talent that can jump over for a few matches. We already have Jay White on Impact Wrestling. Wouldn’t be too ridiculous to see him make an AEW run for a few months. Also the free agents that will naturally look for a new change of pace. AEW has to stop thinking like a wrestling promotion and start thinking like a wrestling empire. And they have all the tools available to lead the world of wrestling into the future.

Shang-Chi : It Was Okay

Both 'Shang-Chi' Post-Credits Scenes, Explained (Spoilers)

I fell in love with the first trailer of Shang-Chi. I thought this was going to be one of the best Marvel movies ever made. When the second trailer came out, I said, “I’ll wait until it comes on Disney+”. The movie looked too packed with jokes, comic relief, and dumb situations.

Very quickly I felt that the story started to unravel quickly. After a great opening sequence, the serious part of the movie was over and the jokes began, and again, and again. Katy might be the worst Marvel character ever created. Every moment she was on screen was a chore to watch. Never a good line, always a joke or something stupid to add to the moment.

Shaun was a good character who, but I felt like there were 2 performances by actor Simu Liu. Every time he was in comical situations, the acting was terrible, but when the moments were serious it was perfect. The movie was actually incredible when it was being serious. And not to say that jokes wouldn’t be welcomed. It’s almost like they took every opportunity to undercut the big moment with a joke.

The story was eh. Shaun has to stop his immortal thousand-year-old father from unleashing some monster bent on world domination. Typical Marvel movie. CGI battle with disposable army, secret organization, cameos, shirtless scene, and teases future movies. Pretty standard. The action was the only redeeming part of the movie. Best fight scenes in the MCU so far.

So, eh story, good action, too many jokes, besides Katy and 50% of Shaun the acting was pretty believable, Shang-Chi was a decent MCU movie, but nowhere near the hype it created. I give it a 5/10, but that’s mostly because of the action scenes and acting.

Steve Let Sharon Down

Why didn’t Steve Rogers help Sharon Carter out?

Chris Hero : Underrated?

Chris Hero Annoyed At Story That He Was Supposed To Be In The Shield

Chris Hero is one of those wrestlers who is cannon fodder to new talent, but does it in a way where his stock is never hurt by it. Hero can wrestle, he’s not box office, he’s not someone who can run a brand, he’s not overly interesting, but Hero can wrestle. I don’t see much in store for Hero in the future. I would like to see Hero vs Dusty Rhodes one day. Even at age 50, Rhodes puts on a show and I feel like he and Hero can put on an all time classic. Other than that, I don’t see him pulling a CM Punk set of dream matches. Maybe just one final big match and that’s it.

Romans Reigns Is The Same Guy

R-Truth Doesn't Believe Roman Reigns Has Reached His Peak Yet

It’s weird seeing WWE fans cheer Roman Reigns now instead of booing him. Do they realize that he is being booked harder down our throats more as a heel than a babyface? When Roman was a face, he was booked in every big title match. Every big feud. Being given chances to fight for the title constantly. And fans hated him. They chanted “You suck!” and “You can’t wrestle” constantly.

But now as a heel, the fans forgot all that. They have 0 issues with the way Reigns wrestles now. They cheer him a lot more now and rarely hate on him. Even though he is deemed weaker now, because he needs the help of the Usos to pick up victories now. Reigns has made the Smackdown title the premier title in wrestling (fight me) and is going on a record long title run.

WWE creative is going to shove Reigns down our throats for the rest of his career. If you had to pick one wrestler to do that it would be Reigns. Seth Rollins is great, but he doesn’t have the size and muscle as Reigns.

5 Reasons why Roman Reigns unleashed a new finisher against Braun Strowman on WWE SmackDown

We can one day get feuds vs Karrion Kross, Bearcat Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, Damian Priest, Ridge Holland and Gable Stevenson just to name a few. Soon we will see NXT talents like Bron Breakker, Tommaso Ciampa, Dexter Lumas, Timothy Thatcher and LA Knight might eventually find themselves standing in front of Reigns at a contract signing.

So what do you think of Roman Reigns? Is he justifiably being pushed to front and center or is there someone else who should be holding the belt?

Santana : Ready For A Singles Run?

Santana looks really good know. He’s been hitting the gym and it shows. I would like to see Santana develop into a singles star. Probably not taking the AEW Championship, but making some noise in a championship elimination tournament. He would need a unique finisher. I actually don’t know Santana’s finisher in AEW. People in the Community Creations in the WWE games have his finishers as Superkicks, Frog Splashes, RKOs, just a bevy of random finishers and I’ve never seen Santana pick up the win with any of those.

Does Santana have what it takes to be AEW Champion? I don’t think so yet, but I see him more running the mid card division one day. What do you guys think?

Slapjack It Worked

Who is Slapjack? WWE's RETRIBUTION star Shane Thorne at Hell In A Cell | Metro News

When Shane Torne became Slapjack, it was probably the best thing that could’ve happened to him. The whole team Retribution was a failed experiment from the start, but Thorne becoming Slapjack took him to the next level.  I thought Torne was “ok” on NXT. When he teamed with Nick Miller, it wasn’t box office. It was good wrestling, but it wasn’t anything to stay up late for. But Thorne was the bright spot on that team.

Becoming Slapjack made him more brutal. He became this unleashed animal that actually showed signs of a main roster mid card run. He spent the majority of these impressive moments on Main Event, which even though a lot of people don’t watch, I still do. And for the first time I enjoyed watching Slapjack. With Retribution now broken up and after his release, I think he should keep the Slapjack persona wherever he goes. Id like to see him on Impact Wrestling, but what do you guys think of Slapjack and who would you want him to fight?
