WWE 2K22

Surprising WWE 2K22 Release Date Announced Plus New Info

I’m hearing bad rumors about the new WWE 2K22. Since the failure of 2K20 and Battlegrounds, the decision has been made to reinvent the wheel and model their game after No Mercy which was released in 2000 for the N64.

Sports games are some of the easiest games to shoot out. Fans are just paying for an updated roster, new moves, and graphics. We aren’t asking the gaming companies to do anything too drastic. I know I can’t speak for all wrestling game fans, but I don’t need much to make me happy. The best addition to the games is the community creations.

AEW Video Game To Be Better Than WWE 2K Series?

The WWE should embrace AEW as a marketable tool. I still play 2K19 all the time, my created wrestler slots are completely filled with AEW, Impact and NJPW wrestlers from the community creations. The WWE should make it even easier to bring wrestlers from other promotions into this game. Give us all their moves, give us the ability make their gear, give us a ton of slots to build a massive roster. How is this bad for the WWE? Honestly, if their game is better than AEW’s and has the ability to bring in all their wrestlers, then why wouldn’t fans buy this game over theirs?

The WWE’s problem since AEW’s creation has been competition, but making your enemy an asset without having to lose anything is a win.

Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes is a star-studded, time-loop mystery that's let down by frustrating repetition | British GQ

This game feels like a Netflix Original Movie. It has a great cast, really unique concept, a very interesting beginning and middle, and then unravels very quickly into an extremely pointless and confusing ending and you regret every watching it in the first place.

You play as The Husband coming home to your wife telling you the great news that you’re going to be a father. The moment is then cut short by a police officer at the door who accuses your wife of murdering her father, zip ties her hands behind her back and then brutally kills you.

Why Hitchcock-taut video game 'Twelve Minutes' spurs debate - Los Angeles Times

Then, it cuts back twelve minutes when you entered the apartment originally. Your wife in the same place she was twelve minutes ago and the police officer making his way to your apartment. What you have to do now is go on an annoying series of mini quests to unravel what and why this is happening. The big issue is that even if you know EXACTLY what to do, you still have to die or repeat the game over and over to do it. Most of the time, you are given a series of dialogue options and actions. Preforming the wrong one will end up shooting you to the beginning or you’ll have to simply kill yourself to trigger that. There really is no getting better at the game. even to get the simplest ending, you would have to die 4 or 5 times just to get the series of events down right.

You have to talk to your wife a few times to know what you have to say. You have to kill the police officer a few times to grab his phone to talk to his daughter to get her to convince him to listen to you.  There is no grind to this game. it’s just tedious and annoying. And worst of all, when you spent all that time dying and plotting your choices and listening to all the dialogue options and dying and dying and dying, the ending is that you’re fucking you sister?

Annapurna's Twelve Minutes release date set for Aug. 19 - Polygon

That’s the ending. Your wife is secretly your sister and you killed your father because you love her and some other dumb stuff. And that’s it. What an absolute disaster of an ending. What an incredible waste of time for a game that started off so strong. Did you really need 3 Hollywood stars for this game? Awful game! Don’t download it!

I’m Ready To Get Hurt Again

I think the WWE is doing everything right with Goldberg vs Bobby Lashley. The setup is tremendous. Making it a non-title match is a smart idea because Goldberg as champion now wouldn’t make sense. The Extreme Rules match will add a lot of creativity to it and take the pressure off the aging Goldberg. The Hurt Business and Goldberg’s son can interfere without a DQ. And I already figured out the perfect ending.

  • A pair of tables is set up outside the ring
  • Cedric Alexander gets tossed from the ring into the tables outside
  • Shelton Benjamin springboards into a Goldberg Spear
  • Goldberg taunts
  • Lashley grabs him from behind and administers the Hurt Lock
  • Goldberg’s son low blows Lashley
  • Goldberg hits the spear and pins Lashley with the Jackhammer for the win

Not a bad ending to the feud. Goldberg isn’t the same as he was in WCW or his short first time in the WWE. An Extreme Rules match like this can give Goldberg more to do with weapons and Lashley and the rest of the Hurt Business can take more of the hits.

Will it be a good match? We’ll know in a few weeks. Let me know what you guys think of the match ending and what’s next for these 2 wrestlers.

AEW Is In Trouble

Yes, the company that forever changed the wrestling industry is in trouble. Not with the product—they’re putting on some of the best matches in wrestling and the build-up to Pay Per Views is perfect storytelling. Their viewership is breaking records every week. So, what’s the problem?

AEW is hiring too many wrestlers in such a short amount of time.

Here is a small list of AEW wrestlers that I think should be in the title picture:

Adam PageLance Archer
Adam ColeMalakai Black
AndradeThe Young Bucks
Brian CageMJF
Bryan DanielsonMiro
Cody RhodesPac
Darby AllinPentagon Jr
Jon MoxleyRey Fenix
Jungle boyWardlow

Do we think that Kenny Omega, the greatest wrestler of all time, won’t win the championship again? That Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho won’t be in the title picture for the rest of their AEW career? There are now rumblings—more specifically, the Mrs. Cage, and her very vocal outrage over his poor bookings—that Brian Cage is looking to make the jump to the WWE.

Cage’s debut should’ve annoyed a lot of AEW talent. He was the final entrant in the Casino Ladder Match, won within minutes of entering the match, and earned a title shot against Moxley. Debut and title match: same year. Same day. Same hour. Meanwhile, Darby Allin and others get pushed aside.

Ruby Soho, former WWE talent Ruby Riott, showed up as the final entrant in the Casino Battle Royale, won and earned a title match. Meanwhile other talents like Anna Jay, Tay Conti, and Penelope Ford are pushed aside for new talent. AEW sells free agent talents on big matches and title opportunities—just sign up!—which in turn pushes aside the talent that’s been there from the beginning.

So how do they fix it?

  • Split the roster evenly down the middle.
  • Remove the AEW Championship name entirely and make AEW Rampage into a 2 hour show with its own title.
  • You keep AEW Dark on YouTube and, rather than a squash show, make it a show where talents outside the fold can stay in the public eye.
  • Make the FTW Championship a title only for Dark.
  • Rampage also needs a mid-card and tag team championship. AEW has to utilize Impact Wrestling and NJPW to send wrestlers over there when their storylines become stale.

AEW is doing a lot of things right, but if they don’t make serious changes to their business model, their homegrown talent will start heading over to the WWE.

Let me know what you guys think. Is AEW on the verge of losing their top talent? Or will they stick it out?

Great Cast Wrong Movie

Chris Pratt as Mario? The Cast of 'Super Mario Bros.' Movie Revealed – NBC10 Philadelphia

I don’t like the cast in the upcoming Mario movie. Not because I don’t like Chris Pratt. I think he is an amazing actor who should be in a lot of high-profile movies and shows, but he shouldn’t voice Mario because Mario is one of the most recognizable voices in gaming history. Pratt shouldn’t be a voice actor for someone who doesn’t sound like him. If I’m paying A list celebrity, one of the most recognizable actors in Hollywood today, someone who has a very clear and distinct voice, then I want to hear HIM.

I feel this way about a lot of voice acted movies with high profile actors in it. Sean Penn in Angry Birds and Vin Diesel playing Groot were waste of time castings meanwhile Pratt and Tom Holland in Onward were amazing castings because they sounded, acted and weirdly enough kind of resembled their characters on screen.

Super Mario Bros. Movie Lands Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Seth Rogen - Variety

I played a game called Twelve Minutes that had James McAvoy, Daisey Ridley and Willem Dafoe as voice actors. Dafoe was the only one I recognized. And it was a terrible game so you wasted a lot of money on two voice actors I had to look up to actually know they were in the game.

Pratt is just going to do his best Mario impression and if he does it well, then he will sound like Mario in the videogames and you didn’t need Pratt for that. Or if he doesn’t sound like Mario then people are going to complain that he doesn’t sound like Mario.

What Super Mario Bros' Cast Reveals About The Movie | Screen Rant

The rest of the casting choices are very weird as well. Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong, I don’t know who Anya Taylor-Joy is but she’s playing Princess Peach. These actors all have distinct voices and it just seems like they are grabbing all these big names to build the hype of the movie. Which isn’t a good sign.

I do hope the movie is a massive success. I love videogame movies, but hate when they take the characters in the game and put them in the real world. So, what do you guys think about it?

You Learned Nothing?

Is Movie 'Solo: A Star Wars Story 2018' streaming on Netflix?

Around the 15-minute mark, Han joins the Empire and is sent to bootcamp. The next scene has the title card 3 Years Later. Han is in the middle of a battle and doesn’t know anything. And the title card should’ve said maybe 3 days later. He starts off flying back from an explosion, he’s hyperventilating, questioning “why are we here?” to his commanding officer.

Now I know Star War’s movie Solo wasn’t perfect. I liked it, I wouldn’t rank it among the best Star Wars movies ever made, but it was a fun ride for. But there is a scene that I hate so much and I find it weird that it’s not mentioned among reviewers.

Solo: A Star Wars Story': Inside the Director Swap, Re-Shoots & More - Variety

Were you asleep in the briefing? Were you just on the crapper during this? Was he hooking up with an Ewok off world during this?

Are you telling me Han learned nothing in boot camp? That he went through 3 years of hanging with the Empire, having the best weapons in the galaxy at his disposal, learning from top military leaders and looks this green? Why would they even deploy him? And the Empire isn’t stupid. They aren’t just going to send in this guy, who doesn’t even know what’s going on, as cannon fodder. I guess the Clones were expendable, they were massed produced, but highly trained. They were also cloned from the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy. And if the Clone Wars TV gave us was insight to their training and preparation. Some of my favorite episodes were of Clones learning the ropes, being part of a unit, and overcoming an endless robot army.

I think this scene is a good indicator of why the movie was so bad. The opening scene we see Han fresh out of a heist, then shortly after he double crosses the gang he’s with, he hotwires a speeder and hatches a brilliant plan of getting him and his girlfriend off world. Han is calm, confident and most importantly cool. He takes daring risks and totally embodies Harrison Ford. But after that battle scene, Han isn’t the same.

Solo: A Star Wars Story 4K Blu-ray (Ultimate Collector's Edition)

It almost felt like the rest of the movie was a rewrite. I felt the same way watching the new Mortal Kombat. That opening scene was awesome, the cinematography, lighting and fighting were all perfect. Then the rest of the movie felt clunky and quickly written.

Han embodied too many emotions and barely felt like the same character in consecutive scenes. Alden Ehrenreich did a great job, but it looked like the scenes were vastly filmed out of order and he found a great feel for the character later on in filming and it was too late to redo the previous scenes.

Maybe I’m looking too much into it, but let me know what you guys thought.
