Disney wants to make The Lion King an extended universe by adding more live-action sequels and prequels. A Mufasa movie is apparently coming out in 2024; I believe it will tell the tragic backstory of his brother Scar and why he became a villain in the first place.

Scar will of course, be gay in this franchise and will have a secret relationship with a male zebra, a relationship that his father, the current king, will highly disapprove of. Scar will eventually turn to the dark side and kill his father, making Mufasa the new king of the lands.

Does that sound like something Disney would do? Make a character gay randomly and make it so they’re not a pure villain, but one turned to evil due to bigotry and hate? You bet your ass it sounds like something they’d do. What do you think about the sinking franchise that will be the new Lion King universe, and how close do you think my prediction.
