Blood and Honey Killing Loki

Blood and Honey Killing Loki

We live in a fun time. The Loki show is losing a massive number of viewers per week, and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is getting a sequel. Yes, a low-budget slasher flick about Disney animals killing people is more profitable than a high-budget show about a world-known character. And why? Because one is entertaining, and the other is just bad.

Why is Disney sinking huge chunks of its money into shows and movies that aren’t making any money or being entertaining? How can any Disney budget be justified now? It’s all just a CGI mess with expensive and unlikable actors. I don’t see any hope for any of these projects going forward.

Can you imagine if Disney didn’t hide the Sound of Freedom and put it in theaters? That movie made more money than The Little Mermaid, Quantumania, and Haunted Mansion combined, and those were all highly advertised and big-budget products.

Disney needs to right the ship sooner rather than later; otherwise, we will see their collapse in the next few months and not years.

Kang Out Doom In

Disney knows something we don’t know. I’ve read multiple reports that Marvel wants to move away from Kang and bring in Dr Doom to be the new big bad of the MCU. Everything I’m reading says this is in response to Quantumania flopping and the Loki show bleeding viewers. I disagree because a good writer can turn shit into Shinola quickly.

I think this is directly in response to Jonathan Major’s ongoing legal battle. You know, the legal battle that everyone online was saying it was resolved, and he was innocent and whatnot. I think Disney knows something’s up with it and wants to push him aside now and not have to deal with the trail looming over their heads.

But what do you guys think about this? Is switching to Doom this late in the game a good move for Marvel or should they stay the course with Kang and Jonathan Majors?

Loki’: Mastery or Mere CGI

In the season finale of Loki, we see Old Loki manifest an entire city out of nowhere, and fanboys online lost their minds. The monster Alioth and Old Loki quickly destroyed the city in the process. What exactly did he do again that was so impressive? Old Loki didn’t “actually” create a city. He simply created an illusion, an illusion that was easily swallowed by the creepy cloud monster, and that’s it. Was this merely a CGI spectacle, or was it a nod to a comic book arc? Either way, the scene surely evoked reactions from the audience.

Loki the Skeptic Loki the Believer

Remember that sad emotional scene where Loki watches his future and becomes a better person from it? He sees himself and Thor becoming friends, getting along, seeing that he is the reason his mother was killed in Thor 2, ultimately sees himself die at the hands of Thanos and realizes this is his fate if he doesn’t change. Yet when He Who Remains shows Loki the script of what’s about to happen, he says “It’s a parlor trick”.

Ummm what?

Loki watched a montage of his future, took it as gospel, became a better person from it and now, all of a sudden, after he’s gone on this massive journey, now you’re a skeptic.

It reminds me of one of my favorite and most hated movies The Polar Express, where a child who doesn’t believe in Santa goes on a magical train ride, meets elves, sees Santa’s workshop yet when he finally sees Santa in person he doesn’t know if he believes.

That’s what happens when you try to shoe horn 3 movies of character development into one montage and then all of a sudden make the lead character go through actual moments of doubt.

Loki : Marvel Strike Force

Being part of the Comic and Mystic classes make Loki a character to keep around for a long time. His Mind Control makes an opponent attack the Primary Target and they even gain a 25% damage to it. His Mirror Image summons 1-2 Loki clones and adds Stealth to your teammates. The clones just do Loki’s basic attack and the bar does fill up pretty fast so you can pop out a few more Loki clones. Loki might be one of the best characters in the game and a must in my rotation.
